KECK, Ella

1929 - 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce our beloved Mother, Oma, and great-grandmother, Ella Keck (Braun), passed away peacefully at Lake Country Lodge, December 23, 2021, at the age of 92. Ella is at peace and is reunited with her husband Richard. Ella is survived by her daughter Heidi Rieger (Chris), her son Norbert Keck (Karlene); grandchildren Marty, Crystal, Lisa, and Kelly; great-grandchildren Jordis, Judd, Jaden, and Abigail; and brother-in-law Art Keck, and family in Germany.

Ella, Richard, Heidi, Norbert, and Art immigrated to Calgary in 1961 from Germany. Ella and Richard retired to Lake Country in 1980, to their new home with its fruit, walnut, and hazelnut trees, grapevines, and large garden. Ella was a hard worker who loved family and friends and had a great love for gardening and the outdoors. Her love and kindness will never be forgotten.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, LPNs, care aides, and staff at Lake Country Lodge for all their kindness and compassionate care.
