KEARNEY, Raine (Lorraine)

KEARNEY, Raine (Lorraine) - November 30, 1948 – October 19, 2023

Raine (Lorraine) Kearney passed away peacefully in Kelowna General Hospital on October 19, 2023, at the age of 74 after a short battle with cancer.

Raine was born in Princeton, British Columbia and moved throughout the years to Calgary, Vancouver and eventually Kelowna. She leaves behind her son, Christopher, granddaughter, Makayla, daughter-in-law, Crystal, her beloved puppy and best friend, Jordie and countless friends, neighbors and extended family.

Raine had a passion for travel and exploring various cultures. She enjoyed visiting numerous continents and countries, most recently Greece and Turkey. An accomplished seamstress, she created, sold and donated hundreds of custom handmade designed handbags over the years. For the past 15 years, Raine spent the winters in Puerto Vallarta, visiting old friends and meeting new ones. Puerto Vallarta held a special place in her heart.

Raine was always known as feisty, fun and adventurous. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

No formal service will be held according to her wishes. The family will have a private gathering in Puerto Vallarta to celebrate Raine. She will be honoured in the hearts of those who had the joy of knowing her.

Thank you to her friends and neighbors at the Arboretum and the staff at Kelowna General Hospital.

Cremation arrangements in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services, (250) 860-6440
