JACKSON, Deborah Lee

JACKSON, Deborah Lee

July 29, 1961 - February 14, 2020

“My best friend, my soul mate, the love of my life has gone to be God’s Number One Angel.

I will miss her so very, very much. She was the best of the best and I am so lost without her.

I Love you Honey. I know you are watching over me. I’m looking forward to the day that we are together again. Until then, keep me safe my Love.” ~Lloyd

Debbie was born in Ashcroft BC on July 29, 1961. She was the eldest of three girls. (Pam, Karen). She met her husband Lloyd Hooper at the Home Hardware in Brookswood where she worked, and they soon fell in love. They shared their blended family, her Andrea and Mark, and his Chad and Leanne. Moving from Langley in 2000, they made their home in Peachland; and later in 2016, they made their big move to Beaverdell with plans of downsizing and retiring. They were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home in their new community. In September 2018 Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer which later spread to her brain.

She fought hard and courageously for 16 months, enduring several rounds of chemo treatments and radiation treatments as well as breast and brain surgeries. Debbie will be remembered for her strong, positive attitude, kindness and cheerfulness, her beautiful laugh and gleaming blue eyes.

Debbie is survived by her husband Lloyd Hooper, her children Andrea and Mark, grandchildren, Madden and Bennett; Lloyd’s children Chad and Leanne and grandchildren Tyson, Elsay Danger, Nathaniel and Isaiah; mother Brenda Crawford and sisters Pam Philip and Karen MacDougall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society in memory of Deborah.
