IN LOVING MEMORY: LANGILLE, Jake

IN LOVING MEMORY: LANGILLE, Jake

December 16, 1989 -January 22, 2017

Jake came into this world a fighter, having spent the first week of his life in hospital and his first drive home from the Soo in a blizzard on Christmas eve. Jake was a sweet, gentle child who was always happy and enjoyed BMX racing, hockey, skateboarding and hanging out with his buddies and fellow "Beavers". As Jake grew up his interests eventually changed to arts and music. His uncle bought him his first guitar at the age of eleven and the rest is history! Jake taught himself how to be a "Rockstar" by studying guitar tabs on the internet and practice, practice, practice! His hard work and determination paid off as he became an amazingly talented musician who loved to entertain and teach others what he knew.

Jake loved children and had always hoped someday for one of his own. He was a wonderful, attentive stepfather to Ashley Overton and a special influence on any child who was fortunate enough to know him. He was also a huge animal lover having rescued everything from baby birds to salamanders. His heart had so much love to give!

Music wasn't Jake's only passion however, fishing came a pretty close second. Jake loved the outdoors and was in his element with a fishing rod or jigger in his hand. Jake was also a skilled carpenter having started at an early age building towers with Lego's then progressing to building real houses and buildings!

Jake left this world a fighter. He struggled with his demons on and off for years but he never gave up hope. Jake spent the last year of his life doing what he loved best..touring the country, playing music and hanging out with family. Jake was an amazing, talented and sensitive soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He is truly missed. I hope you are "dancing in the sky and singing in the angels choir".
