HUBER, Dennis Fred

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Dennis F. Huber on November 20, 2017 in Kelowna, BC after a brave battle with cancer.

Left behind to cherish his life that ended too soon are his loving wife Elly of 53 years; and his beloved children, daughter Angie, son Dean (Rouillanda), his two precious granddaughters that he loved more than anything, Lauren and Jaiden Huber, daughter Crystal (Mike) Shiskin. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Marge (Don) Steidl, his sister Shirl (Gary) Long, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Fred & Beatrice Huber of Regina, SK, and in-laws Casey & Mary Bohn of Southey, SK.

Dennis enjoyed spending time golfing, playing ball, and watching sports on television. He was a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan until the end.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Dicus, all the doctors and nurses at KGH 4th Floor, and the staff and volunteers at Kelowna Hospice for his great care.

We are saddened by your loss. We will remember the fun times we had and the memories we made. I had the opportunity of meeting the great Huber family in Prince Albert, SK., when I was 12 years old. I was fortunate to have Den and Elly as 2nd parents, influencing my every move, in particular financially. Den did not want me or his daughter Crystal to misspend a cent. He was very disappointed in me when I got 2 speeding tickets in one week with his Dodge Ram. He forgave me though. I see his legacy living on and it brings me great joy to have known him!

Much love now and always, Jacqueline, Bob, Olivia and Christian G
