HENNING, Ottilya

Went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age of 87. Ottilya is survived by her daughters: Esther Breckenridge (Russ) of Kelowna, Louise Ewen (Norm) of Prince George, Hilda Gawryluk (Jack) of Kelowna, Elsie Wagner (Robert) of Kelowna, Joyce Koehler (Brian) of Kelowna, Ethel Newton (Jack) of Kelowna and Ella Wagner (Ron) of Kelowna; son Edwin Henning (Dana) of Calgary; grandchildren: Melissa (Garrett), Tammy (Ryan), Mike (Selena), Jackie (Ryan), Kirk, Richard, Robin (Brett), Kimberly (Jeff), Bobbie (Brett), Candice (Mike), Branden, Dustin (Jennifer) and Vanessa; and great-grandchildren: Karma, Tamsin, Laurissa, Brenden, Ava, Wyatt, Quinn, Ryker, Beryx, Rhys, Stella, Ian and Trent. She is predeceased by her husband William Henning, brother Edward Pilkafski, sister Elli Kaut and parents John and Bertha Pilkafski.
Ottilya and William homesteaded in Alberta Peace Country and moved to Kelowna in 1963 where she worked in the agricultural industry and BC Tree Fruits. We will always remember our Mom for her love and devotion to her family. Mom loved to garden and had a market garden for many years.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna with Funeral Service to follow on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church, 250 Gibbs Road W., Kelowna, with Pastor Richard Schulz officiating. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, 1991 Bernard Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.com or Faith Lutheran Church.
