Obituaries

Elizabeth Elmira Helgerson (nee Thompson) passed on May 9, 2018, just before her 88th birthday. She was born in Telkwa, B.C. on June 2, 1930, the third of six children.

A loving mother and homemaker, Elizabeth was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed sharing her goodies with her family and friends, including her award-winning apple pie. She was very artistic and loved sewing, crafting and painting. She made endless amounts of crafts to the delight of her grandchildren who enjoyed making things along with her. Elizabeth was very proud of her Native and Norwegian heritage. She had a love of music and golf and adored both Elvis Presley and Sergio Garcia. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband and family.

  I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful woman, sweet, kind, caring and what a great cook as well, I'll always remember her famous lasagna, the best! My deepest sympathy and sincere condolences. Bless her dear heart, may she rest in eternal peace.
