HARDER, Cecil

HARDER, Cecil

Cecil was a loving family man to his wife, Vi, and daughter, Melissa. He had a heart of gold, putting others ahead of himself. He was the youngest of seven children.

He was a super talented guy and always let you know his thoughts on how he saw any situation. Good, or bad.

Cecil operated heavy road building equipment, working from grader to supervisor. Then, for a hobby, he took up building utility trailers and other welding projects. Last of all, he learned to make custom knives for hunting, fishing, and for the kitchen. He loved the hunting camps roughing it but eating the home cooked meals Vi provided on all his adventures with the guys.

He will be sadly missed. Another great one gone.

Vi and Melissa, this breaks me up inside. I’ve known Cec my whole life and he was always great to me and my siblings. I remember one time he caught us shooting our BB guns after dark, he just laughed and never told our parents. I loved talking to him over the years sharing our hunting stories. He wanted to teach me the art of knife making which I will always regret not learning from him. He was a true craftsman and was always there to help my Grandmother after Grandpa passed away. I loved Cec very much and he will be missed. May he be reunited with his best friend and hunting partner Minty. - Doug W
