HAPI (NEE MUCKERSIE), Isabella Clow

September 18, 1919 - October 10, 2018
It is with sadness for our loss, yet gratefulness for a wonderful life, that we announce the passing of our Mother and Grandmother, Ella, shortly after her 99th birthday. She passed away peacefully at Village at Mill Creek with loved ones by her side. Ella is survived by her son Tony (Lee) Scrivens; adopted daughter Piri Blys; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, daughter Ann, son-in-law Jack and adopted son Kauri.
Born in Dundee, Scotland, she came to Canada as a child. Ella was a faithful, long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she loved her role with the Annual Creche presentation.
Volunteering was a big part of her life in Kelowna which included the Kelowna Arts Council, Laurel Packing House, Kelowna General Hospital, Kelowna School of Ballet and Theatre Kelowna Society. She was on the Board of Directors of the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan (previously known as KADAC). She was a lifetime member at Theatre Kelowna where she produced and directed plays, sewed wardrobes and made props. Her time at Kelowna School of Ballet also included looking after the principals of the annual presentation of The Nutcracker.
A Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 696 Glenmore Road, Kelowna, on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.

I was lucky enough to work on shows with Ella in the past. She was a lovely lady who made me smile. I remember taking her to Purdy's once and we bought Hedgehogs which she had to eat straight away. My condolences to the family.

I loved the way Ella kept the children from running around the church building by hitting her cane on the floor. She will be remembered fondly.

Ella was a fabulous person with a great sense of humour. We had so many laughs together as we shared time together at KGH and Theatre Kelowna. She was such an outstanding volunteer in many areas in Kelowna and really had the compassion to care about and for others. The service was so full of respect and appreciation -- wow people sure LOVED her. I was so grateful to be there. All the best to you all and remember what a generous and caring person she was.

Sharon Leveque, Director of Volunteer Services at KGH (now retired) and former member of Theatre Kelowna.

I also had the privilege of spending time with Ella many years ago on a volunteer council for the community. Lovely and most vibrant woman!

Ella will long be remembered for her smile, her sense of humor, and the many years of volunteer work she put her heart into. Sincere warm thoughts go to Ella's family. She enjoyed a most interesting past life, and her return to Canada to be with her family and her Church, carried her through her 'senior' years! I am grateful to have enjoyed her friendship in the years she lived in her condo at Bernard.

Many condolences are with Ella's family as you say your final goodbye to your Mother, Grandmother and Great and Great-Great Gran.

    Sincerely, Gretchen Aird (Dawson)

As former coordinator for the Kelowna Hostesses I remember Ella as such a wonderful volunteer. She always had a smile on her face and a wonderful addition to our ladies group. My prayers are been sent to the family at this time and thank God that she was able to share all her talents with so many groups. I will always remember her.

    God Bless, Lillian Moller
