My sincere condolences to the Haltiner family. I can only echo what others have said about Kenny—-funny, interesting, kind, generous. It was always a treat to find out that you were golfing with him in your 4 some, but it was extra special to ride with him. We will miss him and his wonderful smile. Jack May

Deepest condolences to the Haltiner family.Ken will be missed by all. I will cherish all the memories I have playing golf, curling and just hanging around socializing with Ken. I can’t count the number of times he made my sides sore from laughing in the men’s room at KG&CC. Miss you already.

I first met Ken when he started Aero Stainless some 30 years ago. We started a business relationship that lasted until last year, building and installing refrigerated equipment all over Canada. It also turned into a 30 year friendship. Ken was one of the most loyal and honest people I know. To Karen, Travis and their families, I think you already know what a wonderful Dad you have. Travis, you should be proud of Stephanie, how she stepped up to be with Ken in his last days. Thursdays will never be the same. Miss you Ken

Our deepest condolences to Ken’s family. I enjoyed Kens company many times while golfing. He was a character among characters. Had the good fortune of traveling with him to a golf tournament in Winnipeg a few years ago. He definitely was a man of solid principles and fun to be around. Going to miss him.

Heartbroken I extend my deepest condolences to the entire Haltiner clan as Ken leaves a huge void in all of our hearts. I've been missing my golf partner already before the season has even started. There's no one who could possibly replace him. And yet, with all the sadness that surrounds us right now, I cannot help but smile and laugh at the many shenanigans we went through during our many rounds out on the golf course. He cracked me up so many times and that's how he would like to be remembered.. I miss you, brother. Ballantine's is going to go bankrupt for sure. There's nobody like Ken, one of the most generous people I've ever met in my life who would never sweat the small stuff. I know for sure he's cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner for Leanne up there... And yes, he got his first hole-in-one last year in the fall at Kananaskis. What a champion! Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry for your loss, to lose your mom and then so quickly lose your dad is such a tragedy. Ken was a character having worked with him on many projects for several decades and had a few cold ones I can say I have never met a more honest, straight forward guy. His work ethic was incredible, his sense of humour priceless. He will truly be missed by all of us.

    Our condolences to all,

So sorry to learn of Kenny’s passing, although I couldn’t imagine him going on in his post-stroke condition. I hadn’t known Ken for many years but certainly enjoyed the times we did spend together. He was my curling skip on a number of occasions and I so enjoyed his relaxed and fun-loving nature. When I learned of his passing I had a wee dram of scotch in his memory. Condolences to his entire family. Sincerely Brian Harms
