GORKOFF, Nellie

Nellie Gorkoff, our lovely mother, passed away peacefully at KGH on February 9, 2021. She is survived by her three children, Liz Fawcett, Steve Gorkoff, and Lorraine Hoodicoff and their families.

A private family service will be held. Burial will be in West Kelowna next to her husband, Pete Gorkoff.

She will be lovingly remembered with honour and gratitude by her family and many friends.

My condolences to you all ! Nellie was my most cherished client at first choice ! I loved how soft spoken she was! Such a sweetheart! I could listen to her story’s for hours ! I had been doing her hair for nearly 5 years, and in those short 5 years I grew very fond of her visits ! I will miss having her in my chair and I will miss her phone calls just to chat !

My sympathy to all the family members in your loss of Nellie. What a wonderful lady .

I was fortunate to meet and work with Nellie at the Castlegar hospital . A few years later our family lived on the same cul-de sac as Nellie and Pete .It was a very good neighborhood , we were very social , and it was great to see Nellie again regularly .

Nellie was kind , soft spoken , - the type of person you admire and don’t forget .

I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I met Nellie when I worked at Visionfirst optometry and it always brightened my day when ever she came by. I loved listening to all her stories and loved her sense of humour. she was truly a great lady. Im very fortunate that I was blessed to have known her . Rest in peace my friend. Roxie
