Sending my condolences to all of Sylvia's family. Her service was a wonderful tribute to her. I know the special memories you have made as a family will be treasured forever. Hold them close in your heart. When I think of Sylvia these are the words that come to mind; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. She lived her faith daily, and was an inspiration to me.

I am going to miss you Sylvia. Although I never met your children and husband I know they were the center of your universe and loved spilled over when you spoke of them. I will miss your infectious smile and your honesty and vulnerability. Until we meet again my friend.

To all the Gibbs family - I am so saddened to hear this news. I knew Sylvia through homeschooling and working with HCOS. She was an incredibly bright light and her smile & energy lit up any room she entered. Such a big heart; she was (and will continue to be) an inspiration to all. Cherish your memories and lean on each other knowing she loved you all. My prayers are with you.

Andy, I just heard this very sad news. Sylvia and I had reconnected on Facebook when I moved back to Kelowna and were going to get together when Covid settled down. I was really looking forward to that reunion. Sylvia was an AMAZING, gifted teacher, one of the best! Her cheerful attitude and positive spirit were ALWAYS appreciated so much. No matter how things were going, you could always have a good laugh with Sylvia! It was also fun to go golfing with her! LOTS of laughs there, for sure! Her love for the Lord was always such an inspiration to those around her. It was a privilege to know Sylvia, to work together with her so many years ago, and to be able to call her friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you, the kids, and all your family. I know that God will be with all of you during this difficult time.
