GARDEN, Victor H
After a valiant battle with Parkinsons Disease and the Alzheimers that goes with it, our dear Dad, husband and Grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on November 15, 2022 in Surrey.
Dad was the dearest, kindest sweetest man and the best Father three daughters could ever have. He is survived by his wife Ruby, his oldest daughter Deborah, his youngest daughter Victoria, (sadly his middle daughter Holly passed away in September of 2021, but was there to welcome him with open arms), his son-in-law Gerald and grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Jessica, Brayden and Morgan.
He loved his grandchildren dearly and they loved their grandpa.
Up until the Parkinson disease made it very difficult to get around, Dad was an active golfer and tennis player. He could also fix anything mechanical and electrical and was a retiree of Canadian Pacific Airlines.
Dad was originally from Bunclody, Manitoba, but ended up in Vancouver where he met and married his wife Ruby. They settled in Richmond raising their 3 daughters. They purchased a cottage at Victoria Beach, Manitoba where over the years it was remodeled and eventually became their permanent home until they had to move back to Surrey for health reasons, Dad was in the Evergreen Care Home in Surrey and we cannot thank them enough for the care they gave him. He was very happy there with the view of the ocean out his 8th floor window.
We miss him so much but know that he is now with our sister, gets to meet his Mother (she died when he was just over a year old) his many sisters and brothers and his Father and so on.
Love you so much our Dad, my Dude!
