FUNK, Henry

Henry Funk went to be with the lord on February 24, 2018 at the age of 81. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Funk; daughters: Linda Evans of Lake Country, BC, Sylvia Loewen of Kelowna, BC; sons: Henry Funk of Grand Forks, BC, Jacob "Jack" (Connie) Funk of Armstrong, BC; grandchildren: Theresa (Jordan), Quin, Kim (Richard), Brent (Teisha), Jesse, Justin, Wes, Megan; great grandchild Brexton Loewen; sister Sue Loewen of California; nieces and nephews: Roxanna (Rodney), Reco (Diana), Dan (Lisa), Debbie; grand nephews Jacob and David. Henry was predeceased by his mother Susanna; father Jacob; brothers: Johnny, John, Peter, Jacob; brother-in-law John and granddaughter Josie.

He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Church of God, 3705 Mission Springs Drive, Kelowna, BC with Reverend Rod Tribiger officiating. Interment to follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MCC The Gideons or a charity of choice.

So sorry to hear of Hank's passing. Although I hadn't seen him for awhile he was one of my favourite people. His escape to the free world was truly amazing, his dedication to free enterprise and love of his new country was always very passionate. He was a great guy.
