FRIESEN, Alvin James

June 26, 1946 - January 18, 2021

Alvin was born in Kelowna and spent most of his years here as a truck driver, he loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time driving the back roads of the Okanagan sightseeing.

He was predeceased by his parents Henry (Sarah) Friesen, brother Irvin John Friesen, sister Rose Wheeler, his wife Colleen Thompson Friesen, daughter Cathy Friesen. Survived by his son Calvin Friesen and 1 sister Viola Hanet, his good friend Thelma Rysz, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A family gathering will occur next week to say goodbye, Al will be laid to rest on his parents grave at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted with Everden Rust Funeral Services Kelowna.

    So sorry to hear of Al's passing. He was a very good neighbor and we will miss seeing him drive his truck for his daily coffee break. Rest in peace Al.

    Sorry to read about Al passing I worked with him many years ago hauling logs and with dump trucks with Gary Thompson really enjoyed those days he was a great person to work with I offer my condolences to his family and friends RIP AL from a old friend Edgar Fleury E Fleury Trucking

    Mike and I have lit a candle to honor Al's passing. We have so many good memories of his friendship back in the day, and think of him often. We send our condolences to the family and friends he leaves behind. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.
