FIMRITE, Judith Kathleen

Judith Kathleen Fimrite (nee Dickieson)

Judith passed away peacefully May 26, 2023, with her loving husband and children by her side. She is
survived by her soulmate and best friend of 53 years, Neil of Kelowna, son Darren (Gabriela) of Winnipeg
and daughter Deanna (Jason Mercier) of Ottawa and her two grandchildren Valentina and Sebastian
who were the apples of her eye. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Dickieson (nee Singleton)
(2017), father, Charles Dickieson (1982) and brother Terrence Dickieson (1997) (Barbara) all of Calgary.
Judith owned and operated several card shops in the Okanagan throughout the years. In her
retirement she and Neil travelled the world extensively, always exploring and making friends wherever
they went. She was always ready to learn new hobbies and loved honing new skills. She was an avid
reader and enjoyed all the friendships she made through bridge, book clubs, Probus and her former
sorority sisters at Beta Sigma Phi.
Judith had requested that there be no celebration of life, and cremation has already taken place. There
will be a private tree planting ceremony with her family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in her memory to the BC Cancer Society or any cancer charity of
your choice.

Neil, With sadness we remember Judy. She was for many years a sister to me in Beta Sigma Phi and then years later we reconnected and we played MahJong weekly. Judy was a classy lady and we always enjoyed our times together when we would remember events that she had shared. May your memories be a comfort to you all.
