This man whose branches reach out with children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. Where this tree that gave us shelter and protection had those leaves now reflect the fall season of his life. We have seen your glow. You were wonderful.
He lived a full life. One where plenty of memories were always storied in most conversations. He loved where he came from. The patterns of life are at times not straight and place us on paths of discovery and adventure.
Henry was true to that.
Working the farm with his twin brother and father brought involvements of discipline, but came with the intrigue of tractors, cattle, and horses. Those early years of difficult times are the callus that grows the boy into a man.
This life would also bring the blessing of an extended second family, with the amazing addition of more brothers and a sister to love.
Henry’s dedications in life would soon blossom his involvements with Country in the Canadian Armed Forces. Including his commitments to Church as a Deacon and showing his leadership by being a Scout Master. His love of food and cooking would literally take him down the road. A road where Henry proved to himself that his daily jogs would lead him across a full marathon finish line. You have made the final push and have completed this run of life. Well done.
This is a brother. This is a husband. This is a father.
We have received your giving and felt your love.
Thank you for being part of all our lives.
Go to the God who made you, the potter who loves you more.
