  I know its been a couple years now, but I had my son the same day Jake was born. We were roommates in the hospital. I still have video of little Jake with the big voice :) I was so heartbroken for the family when I heard, it could so easily be any of us to lose our child. I hope time has healed his loved ones, even a little. Michelle and Nicholas.

  You do not know me, but my heart has been deeply saddened by the loss of this young man. I have re-posted and shared his sister's messages when he was first missing. I cannot imagine your grief. Please know your family is in my prayers and my heart. May it comfort you to know that there are so many amazing people in this community that are praying for you during this time.   My heart aches for you, Jake's family. We, too lost our 20 year old, youngest of 4 sons to suicide. It is a loss like no other. It will get softer and easier as the years go by, but it takes a long, long time. Our son died of depression, which some how we missed until it was too late. I'm sure Jake fought many battles successfully until he lost the final one. Please don't blame yourselves, which we automatically do. He felt it was his time to leave. I remember Jake's sister asking for help when he went missing. I know he was loved beyond words. He took a piece of your hearts with him when he left, and you will never get that piece back, no one can ever take his place in your hearts. It is our son's birthday today and even though it's been 20 years, I still have tears that flow. If only in their young lives, they knew things would pass and happier times would come. I offer you any help I can give, ONLY if you want it. I will not sign this. I am just another parent who has gone through what you are and will be experiencing. If you would like to talk to someone who knows and cares, just reply to this and perhaps we can connect through FB or private msg. My name is Linda.   So sorry for the loss of your beloved son Jake. I dont know Jake,but I know that you will have a big void in your life,hard to bear.Our children are not suppose to leave us first.God bless you through the most difficult time of your life.Deepest Sympathy. RIP Jake, your in God's hands Connie.
