Dear Patricia and all family. It has been many years since we last saw Mike, he was just a young boy then, full of beans as someone we all knew well used to say, and he always that that imagination that did not rest. Sadly, far too young, he has passed away, I am sure he has reunited with as many folks to love him in heaven as those who loved him here on earth. Our condolences are sent of course, with love from us to you. Bill and Christine

I have fond memories of summer vacation, playing with the cousins as a kid in Penticton. Going to the beach, playing in the back yard at Grandpa and Grandma's house on Kensington. All of us cousins had the time of our young lives. Michael will be missed but he will be always in my thoughts and prayers.

Love cousin Randall Kovacs and family.

Dear Aunty Pat, Cousin Lani and Cousin Nathan, my deepest sympathy for you and family. This past week has filled me with youthful memories growing up in the Okanagan Valley. When some or all of the cousins were together, there was always a big adventure, a backyard project on Kensington Street, or a trip with Grandma and Grandpa to get ice cream. I remember Michael full of energy and always wanting to participate in every adventure. When I think about Michael, I remember those free days of our youth, with a lot of laughter and his big smile. Michael will be dearly missed, but he'll always be with us. God bless Michael.

Love and Prayers from Ken Kovacs

I only knew Mike as (Bear). I was fortunate to work with him at the university here in Kelowna. I only knew him since October of 2018 but can truly say Mike "Bear" always went out of his way to greet me every morning and ask about my night. He was always thoughtful and friendly and made you feel his presence. He loved Marvel and all the TV series they made, he could talk consistently about each episode. Bear loved his music so much. He'd always pop around the corner playing an air guitar and singing as loud as possible lol - playing loud music was what Bear did:)

I'm extremely saddened to hear of his passing and truly send all my love to his family and friends. He left way way too soon but not before leaving so many of us with great memories!

May his music play loud and his smile shine on.

    You will be missed Bear.

I had known "Bear" for just around 2 years. I worked with him at the cafeteria in UBC-O. I have a lot of great memories shared with him. He was a super person to be able to depend on and always wanted to talk to you about his ideas for creating new ideas for food items to be served. He had a great presence and I will miss him and his humour.

I first meant Mike 12 years ago in a PC game called World of Warcraft. We have been best friends ever since. we spent hours and hours together over the years and became very close. We talked in the game with a headset. Mike's name in game was Violentlock he was very popular and had many friends, everyone loved his sense of humor and how he helped people that weren't familiar with game. He was a very good player. I will miss his phone calls to me in Seattle and most of all Mike (Violentlock) was such a big part of my gamer life that will be changed forever. I will miss him.
