FALLU, Ricky Donald

FALLU, Ricky Donald

It is with saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of Rick Fallu on September 21, 2017.

Rick will be lovingly remembered by his dad Don, sisters Debbie and Terry,
daughter Tannis (Jeremy) uncle Frank and aunt Candy, niece Kristin (Chris), nephew Jayden (Savannah), ex-wife Karen and Rene, many cousins and friends. Rick was
predeceased by his wife Joanne, grandparents Linda and Ewalt Bothe, mom Laura Fallu, brother in-laws Wayne Cobb and Terry Ludwar.

Rick was an incredibly funny bare-footing kind of guy who played to the beat of his own drum. Rick loved driving fast! and in his lifetime owned many beautiful cars - far too many to keep count of, but he knew exactly what his collections consisted of. Rick had an immense love and passion for animals he probably had as many cats and dogs as he did cars, however he loved all four-legged breeds, and they loved him.

A celebration of Rick's life will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at 4 PM in Winfield on Jensen Road, just off of Beaverlake Road. Drive to the parking lot at the end of Jensen Road and you will see signs directing you where to go. It is the back side of the Kangaroo farm. There will be a wiener roast, snacks and drinks.

If anyone one would like to do so, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Kangaroo farm or the S.P.C.A. in Ricks name.

My condolences for your loss. I found Rick's obituary when I googled his name, because I found it on the original bill of sale for a 1978 Martinique Blue Trans Am with a light blue interior, T/A 6.6 engine, and 4-speed, which I have owned for 18 years and am now carefully restoring to its former glory. I was not surprised to read that Rick liked fast and beautiful cars, because this car was both. In 1978, it was not only the fastest Trans Am you could buy, but was one of the fastest cars of 1978, period, in the same league as some Porsches and Ferrari's of the day. It was also loaded with all of the factory comfort and convenience options, from air conditioning and power windows to the deluxe velour interior. He took deliver of the car in July 1978, and added T-roofs to the car in January 1979. I could tell from the car he'd ordered and the care he had taken of it that Rick was a car guy. I'm sorry that I didn't reach out sooner to talk to him. I am sure we would have had a good talk. For those of you who wondered what happened to the blue Trans Am, it's alive and well and living in Alberta, soon to be back on the streets again. Best wishes, Steve Robertson

My 'big brother'...I remember his cars...he picked me up from elementary school (grade 2?) in his blue Trans Am...I was the 'coolest' at school for days after that, lol! Then for years after all I wanted was a Trans Am with the eagle on the hood. I'll miss him, didn't see enough of him in later years but that's okay, I have great memories of him...

Condolences to all hurt by his loss...hugs all around.
