Obituaries

Ruby Dyck passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Kelowna General Hospital in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin P. Dyck, son John McNaughton, first husband Kurt McNaughton, parents John and Olga Plunkie, older brother Walter Plunkie and sister in law Helen Plunkie. She is survived by her younger brother Harvey (Arlas), nephew Grant (Barbara), niece Joanne and many cousins.

She was born in Leduc, Alberta and moved to Chilliwack as a young woman and then to Kelowna where she worked in the Admitting Department at Kelowna General for many years. She met and married Alvin and gained two sons Ken (Judi), Dallas (Sheila) and a daughter Eileen (Dave) Hondl. She was a huge part in the lives of her seven grandchildren and 11

  I was sorry to hear of Ruby's passing. She had been on my mind to call her and as so often happens, if I don't do it immediately I forget. She was a part of our coffee group until she was having health issues that prevented her coming. She always was an interesting person in our group and we all missed her when she couldn't come. I am sure you all will miss her especially you, Judi and Ken.
