DRISCOLL, Leonard

1941 - 2019

It is with great sadness Leonard John Driscoll passed away peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Okanagan Cancer Hospice in Kelowna B.C.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne, son Todd, two daughters Lisa and Andrea. He had one grandchild Dawn and a great grandchild Maxon. Len will also be dearly missed by his brother Gordon Driscoll (Sandy), sister Sylvia Kavanaugh (Peter) along with many loving nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, step brothers, relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother and sister Winnifred Huffington(Paul).

Len was born in Saskatchewan May 14, 1941 and lived in Manitoba, Alberta and Portland, Oregon before settling with his family in the Okanagan early 1970’s. He worked very hard his entire life as a flooring subcontractor, working his last years before retirement at Flooring Canada.

Len always had an enormous passion for sailing and was happiest in the years when he owned his own sailboat. He enjoyed telling stories of years gone by and loved vintage cars.

The family is grateful to all his doctors and for the compassion and care he received while in hospice.

A small celebration of life for family will follow at a later date.

Len will be missed but not forgotten, love lives on.

We are saddened to learn of Len's passing. He was a valuable member of our team for many years. I first met Len over 25 years ago. His skills in the Flooring Business were among the very best, however, more importantly were his skills in communicating and working with people, whether they were fellow workers or customers. We enjoyed his short visits, when he came to visit after retiring. We admire him for his dedication to his wife, Yvonne. We can only imagine how you feel, and we grieve with you. Please accept our condolences. Perry & Yvonne Hildebrandt and the team at Flooring Canada Kelowna
