DOW , Herbert

Herbert Dow passed away peacefully at the Kelowna Hospice on Monday September 12th. At the age of 89 years. He is survived by his wife Phylis of 68 years and three children Chrystal, (Wayne) Pellant, Shannon (Marc) Laurence, and Bob (Gail) Dow, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren also numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Herb was pre-deceased by his infant son Herbert, his daughter Heather Pinda and his great grandson Keeryn Cox.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian cancer society.

I was very saddened to read of Herb's passing. He was a wonderful, kind and generous man and I was very honoured to have been able to get to know him and Phylis and witness first hand their generosity and selflessness. Dear Phylis, so sorry to hear of Herb's passing. I can still see him with apron on, working in the kitchen at Evangel Church for the Focus242 dinners. I remember him as a big man with a good heart.
