DENSMORE, Charles (Chuck) Irwin

Charles Irwin Densmore, born, Feb.6,1931 passed from this life peacefully, to meet his Saviour on February 11,2019. Chuck was born at home, on the farm, near Guelph, Ontario, to John and Jemimma Densmore, the youngest of 8 children. In 1955, he ventured to BC with two close friends, settling in Vancouver. He met Iris Thomson from Ladysmith and they married in 1959. By then Chuck had begun his driving career with Greyhound, moving to Penticton in 1964. He loved his work, and retired in 1995. Chuck lived his life as a kind, gentle, humble, generous, servant of Christ. This was also reflected as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Wilfred, Edna, Adelle, Aileen, and Clifford. Missing him are siblings, Ruth and Winfred, many nieces and nephews, and in-laws, Iris, his wife of 59 years, daughters, Heather Scarlett, Diane (Al) Reimer, Sandra (Scott) MacVicar and grandchildren; Brett, Kendra, Mark Reimer, Graham and Gregory Scarlett, Donavan and Brady MacVicar. Please join us for a celebration of life, Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ok Gleaners Society, 507 Rd 3. Oliver, BC., where Chuck devoted many hours during his retirement.
