DAVIS, Audra Elizabeth Lynn

DAVIS, Audra Elizabeth Lynn

Audra Elizabeth Lynn Davis passed away on Sunday November 14th at home in Kelowna, she was 30 years old on her last birthday.

She is survived by her father, Bill, mother Tracy, her two siblings, Chris and Michele and their families, Grandmother Elizabeth, several aunts, uncles, and cousins and 74 house plants.

Amazingly, the only plants she didn’t grow were herbs, those she stole from her fathers garden.

Audra was a private person but loved visiting with family and friends and had a great laugh and mischievous personality. She had recently graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Masters in Social Work, which is the only thing that will come up on Google when you look her up; her lack of online presence is something to be admired.

A small celebration of life will take place at a future date for close friends and family, where each attendee will be headed home with an aloe plant, or possibly some kind of fern.

In lieu of flowers for the family please send donations to the Sylix Okanagan Nation, or please let the family know if you’ll take a plant.

Audra was a much-loved member of the Centre for the Study of Services to Children and Families. She worked for and volunteered at the Centre from 2017 through 2020. In her work she helped with literature reviews, data collection, project management, and data analysis. She was a steadfast worker, an enormous support to everyone on the team, and a truly bright light in our lives. Her sense of humour contributed mightily to our work at the Centre and her caring nature was felt by all. We will miss Audra, but know her contributions to the Centre will forever be a testament to her commitment to helping others. She was a compassionate and kind person who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

We so appreciated having Audra with our program for her final placement in her schooling. She was kind, intelligent, collaborative and offered what support able to help. This world will miss this young woman and what she still had to offer to make change for the better. I appreciated the note about plants as we saw the collection she cared for diligently. May your spirit be at peace Audra, and may the Creator provide your family with the strength and comfort needed during this time - Judy Sturm

Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time, we are extremely saddened to hear this news. We had the privilege of having Audra as a patient in our clinic, and we all found her to be such a caring, and warm person. We looked forward to her visits with us, and we were all so happy for her as she completed her Masters program. We shared many conversations and laughs over the last few years as she pursued Invisalign treatment with us. She was a memorable patient for us, and she will be truly missed by us all here at Creekside Dental. We are so sorry.
