CLAGGETT, Mark Eric

CLAGGETT, Mark Eric

May 28, 1950 - July 21, 2022

We are sad to announce that Mark passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, with his family by his side. He fought a very valiant fight with esophageal cancer.

Mark will be forever remembered by his wife of 42 years, Sandy; his two daughters Lindsay (Kevan) Hickerson and Brittany; his first granddaughter Lillian; his mother Marguerite; his father-in-law Don; brothers and sisters-in-law Bill and Lorna Wilson, and Dan and Judy Rohl; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mark was predeceased by his father Eric and his mother-in-law Esther.

Mark was a lover of the great outdoors enjoying many camping, fishing, and boating adventures. He passed his love of nature and of travel on to his daughters. Mark made many friends and cherished them all dearly.

In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider making a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation, www.bccancerfoundation.com, or a charity of your choice in Mark’s name.

    Sandy and Family

Liz and I are so sorry to hear about Marks passing. It just seems like yesterday that he would stop by with his old Ford and talk cars. I was always happy to see him driving by with a wave and a toot of the horn. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughters at this time.

Your neighbours Steve and Liz Foster

Mark was a very good friend. He was a part of our “gang” growing up in Kelowna. The impressionable and formative teenage years. We would hang out together. Mark had his own true sense of self, highlighted by his sense of humour. Each of us had colourful nicknames, many provided by Mark. Played pool in his family basement. Laughed at the most outrageous nonsense. Drove around endless hours. The loop from the Dubs back to City Park. Remarkable memories. Sad to learn of his passing. Take care Sandy and family.
