CHIASSON , Roland

CHIASSON , Roland

ROLAND JOSEPH CHIASSON passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 12, 1932 in Petite Riviere de I’lle, New Brunswick to Adelia and Gervais Chiasson. He was one of 18 children. Roland married his beautiful wife, Ena Marilyn Colborne in 1956 and they were married for 66 years.\n\nRoland served in the military with the Royal Canadian Dragoons for 5 years. Roland was a hard-working man all his life. He worked as a welder/gunite man building swimming pools and then as a self-employed welder for the rest of his working years.\n\nRoland was well loved and touched many lives, but none so much as his family. He taught us to love, laugh and work hard for what we wanted. He was a loving husband and father, and an amazing grandfather to his many grandchildren.\n\nRoland is survived by his two brothers Arthur and Bernard (Bernie) (Cindy) Chiasson, his loving wife, Ena, his six children, Lorna (Mike), Anita (Dell), Alan (Janie), Kelly, David (Cheri) and Lee. As well as his 17 grandchildren: Jonathan, James, Darryl, Danni-Lee, Jessica, Krystal, Mallory, Robin, Sean, Brian, Kyra, Tanya, Keenan, Bailey, Nicole, Ian and Parker. And his 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Our hearts are broken by his loss, but we are all blessed to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. We take comfort knowing he’s in a better place. A memorial is not planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. https://www.heartandstroke.ca">https://www.heartandstroke.ca\n
