Robert Harold Charlesworth known to most as Bob and to his family as “Papa” passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 4th, 2018.

He was born in Winnipeg on August 23rd, 1928. He was predeceased by all 6 of his siblings.

Bob loved people and would find someone to chat with no matter where he was. He made everyone in the room feel equally special. Bob was a hard working carpenter all his life and built many homes and structures here in Kelowna.

He adored his family and his grandchildren each had a special place in his heart.

He was predeceased by his first wife, June in 2006. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn and his beautiful children, Rod (Jan) Charlesworth, Juanita (Don) Straub, Kathy Charlesworth, Genny (Bobby) Bissett, Michelle (Bob) Rogers, Jody (Wanda) Brewster, his grandchildren, Chris, Cory, Connor, Nathan, Jeremy, Ethan, Taylor, Paisley, Quinn, Gregory, Pearson, Sam, Jonathan, Megan and his great grandchild Carsen Charlesworth.

There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, January 14, at 2 pm at the Kelowna Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1130 Springfield Road.

A special thanks to the staff at the Springvalley Care Home and the 3 East staff at KGH.

    Bob C with those beautiful blue eyes, I always enjoyed his lovely smile he always gave me whenever I was visiting my Bob S. Memories are wonderful and I know, Marilyn and your family have many of them. He will be greatly missed by his special Care Aide and Staff at Pioneer.     To the Charlesworth family, we have many fond memories of your family in that incredible community we had growing up. Our parents were always pivotal in our lives whether it was your parents or ours they were ..our parents. Ones who instilled a beautiful sense of love and family in our community.     Condolences to Bob's family on the loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Bob was a mentor to me in my younger days growing up in Kelowna.
