CARR, Ernest

Ernie Carr passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018 in Kelowna, BC. Ernie was born in Unity, Sask on October 15, 1944. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Sandy of 50 years; daughters Roxanne Lunnin (Mark) of Calgary and Nicky Sheeler (Harry) of Kelowna; grandchildren Jessica and Danni Lunnin, Logan and Sarah Sheeler as well as 6 great grandchildren. He was also survived by sisters Elma and Ruby. Ernie was predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Ernie worked in the lumber industry as a welder for over 41 years. He was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, great sense of humour and eagerness to help others. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, working on his creative projects and travelling.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer, date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

    My deedest condolences to Ernie's family on his passing. I worked on the Plywood side of the mill. Had to call on Ernie many times over the years for some crucial welding jobs. He was always great to get along with.
