CAPOZZI, Cascia Anne

CAPOZZI, Cascia Anne

Cascia Anne Capozzi December 5, 1959 - January 19th, 2018

We lost our beloved Cascia when she was tragically taken from us on January 19th, 2018.

Cascia was born and raised in Kelowna. She also spent many years in Revelstoke while married to Horst Schwarzer and although the marriage ended, they remained great friends forever. Cas then spent the remaining of her life in Cabo San Lucas.

Our beautiful Cas was so naturally artistic, athletic, and witty. She always had a playful approach to life, scootering everywhere she went. Most importantly, her heart was kind, loving and generous. The people who loved her saw her special glow.

Cascia is our sister, our friend, and mother to Tiffany Julianne (Ixara) Neilson.

We believe heaven is where Cas will truly feel free to fly, it is where she will be forever happy and whole. She will be instantly adored for her beautiful aura, eye for mischief, and infectious charm.

We pray Cas sees how much she is loved and missed by all. With every wave that hits the shore and every seashell we stumble on, we’ll always think of her beautiful smile and know she is near.

Just as Cas loved to pick all of the most beautiful flowers as she walked, she has now been picked to join her mother Babs and her father Tom. As well as a circle of Uncles, Aunts, and friends to welcome her. They are all holding her now.

I Made It Home

I just wanted to let you all know that I made it home.
The journey wasn’t an easy one, but it didn’t take too long.
Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and new.
I wish that you all could close your eyes and that you could see it too.
Please try not to be sad for me.
Try to understand God is taking care of me… I’m in the shelter of His hands.
Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain.
Here there is no crying and I’ll never hurt again.
Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing.
I really have to go for now.. I’ve just got to try my wings.

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart),
i am never without it (anywhere i go you go, my dear).

I just found out about Cascia this evening. I had many happy days with Cascia in high school. She would always come over just before a math exam to go over the material and loved coming into the house with my mom just pulling out a pan of cookies. You had a wonderful sister Caron and I have MANY fond memories of my high school friend. Colleen Bird

I loved Cassia, her free spirit! She loved everyone! We met in the late 80's before I was an Ensign. Cassia was strong, wise beyond her age, reckless with endeavor and a true Sager. She rolled with the punches and believed in Karma always longing for happiness and fun. What a pleasure to have her in your company, never a dull moment! I will miss her as will all of you, God Bless!!! Kerin Ensign

So sad to hear this news. My memories of Cascia go back to elementary & high school days as well as spending time at the Capozzi 'homestead' in between. Cascia was incredibly down to earth, who had a wicked sense of humour and who's smile lit up a room. I wish you peace. Condolences to all of the family.

To the Capozzi family, Horst and Tiffany,
Attractive, witty, athletic, a great artist. Her own spirit and independence. A touch of zany from time to time! Loved by all who were touched by her.
Gonna miss you girl, rest in peace.

So very devastated to learn that Cascia has left us. The last time that I saw her was in Kelowna in her little house by the creek, full of her artistic works. I babysat her in the house on the lake.
Sincere condolences to her daughter Tiffany, her sister, Caron, and her brothers Cameron and Colin as well as to all the Capozzi family.

We had such a great childhood, growing up, 'side by each'!
It's been way too long since I last saw her, makes me very sad.
    RIP Cascia.
