CANDLINE, Sheila Kotsch

CANDLINE, Sheila Kotsch

Sheila Kotsch Candline passed away peacefully on the morning of March 30th, 2019 at Kelowna General Hospital.

Her family is filled with sadness for her passing but is also thankful that she is no longer suffering after nearly a year of being confined to a hospital bed. Sheila was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on May 3rd, 1961, and eventually settled in Kelowna, British Columbia.

She loved to travel having spent the majority of her life in a career as a travel agent. Sheila was an incredible people-person with a kind heart and was always helping others. Community was so important to Sheila and because of that she touched many lives. Those who used to go camping with her family every summer likely have fond memories of the amazing parties she threw. Sheila is survived by her daughter Madison and her siblings (and their families) Sylvia, Vivian, Dirkson, and Gina.

Her family will be planning a celebration of life for sometime in May 2019 so that we can all enjoy the nice weather outdoors in her honour. If you are interested in attending the celebration of life, please keep an eye out for an announcement of the the specific date and time on Madison

I got to know Sheila at Pine Lighting. When I started using Pine as a supplier I thought I knew her form somewhere. One day Cindy came in with me and Sheila said "Hello Cindy". Sheila did not know Cindy & I were together nor did I know they knew each other. Then I remember meeting Sheila at a party years ago at the McEacherns.

We always had a hoot when we saw each other. Her little Santa Hats were always a hit. My wife Cindy had ski lessons with Madison yeas ago. Boy did she like her "Turtles Chocolates"!!!

Our thought are with the family.

Madison, so sorry to hear this news. Sending heartfelt condolences to you and all her family. May sweet memories of the good times and laughter be the ones that carry you thru this hard time. Sheila just had the biggest kindest heart and was always ready to lend a hand if needed and had an awesome sense of humour... I choose to remember some of the best camping trips ever, the Disney trip, and a few girls only shopping trips. May she rest in peace .
