Our sincere condolences to Jocelyn, Patricia, Jennifer and families.
We join the long list of those whose lives were enriched by knowing Jose. She was a very kind and generous lady who possessed that special gift of always making one feel welcome in her home both on Highland Drive and at the “camp”.Not only was she a gracious host but Jose was also a great storyteller and enjoyed sharing a laugh. Over the years we had the privilege of enjoying many wonderful times with both her and Arthur and thanks to the loving care provided by Peter and Jocelyn, Jose was able to remain living in the home that she loved so much. We will all miss her. - Rod and Doreen Hayward - Sep 18, 2023

To all of Jose's family I send heartfelt condolences at the news of her passing. My family enjoyed summers at "Burtch's Cabin" many years ago and we all have such fond memories of those times. I recall Jose's laugh and her gentle disposition when she and Arthur would visit our family in Oyama. She was just a lovely woman and I hope her elder years were gentle and graceful for her. God bless her heavenly rest and bless each you in your loss. Gayle (Hayward) Kenney

What a beautiful , full life Jose had. So many positive memories left with
so many. She was much loved.
Jose loved spending time with her 3 daughters, Jocelyn, Patricia and Jennifer, whom she adored and was so proud of, and rightly so.
Memories of her kindness, her laughter, her generosity, her charming habits, and her fantastic ability to always be welcoming will always be with me.
She played an important part in many lives.
Not gone, just on another journey.
