Obituaries

We rejoice knowing that Rose Brodoway went to be with her Lord and Savior, July 12, 2019 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim and all her siblings; Bill, Mike, George, John and Anne.

Surviving family are Son, Daryl and his wife Darlene and her 3 grandsons Jake, Lee and Jim.

Rose was born in Grindrod BC on March 13, 1924 and was married to Jim Brodoway on May 22, 1954. They bought a farm on the north side of Grindrod and raised livestock and harvested crops for many years. They later adopted their Son, Daryl on Mar 6, 1967. While living in Enderby, Rose was an active volunteer by helping with the Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed travelling, playing bingo and going out daily for coffee. At age 90 she moved into Vernon, at Carrington Place to be closer to her family. The family was privileged to have her come live with them six weeks prior to her passing.

  My deepest sympathy and prayers on the loss of your mother, grandmother. May you find comfort and peace in knowing your Mom was a treasure, one of a kind, a generous and giving person. Too many years have passed since I last saw your Mom or you in Grindrod, but never out of my thoughts. so many memories.
