Funeral Homes Submit ObituaryBOSCH, Jacqueline Beth Elizabeth

April 29, 1938 – February 25, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Jacqueline “Beth” Elizabeth Bosch. Born April 29, 1938, in Unity Saskatchewan to Elsie and Edward Burnell. She passed peacefully in her daughters’ arms on the night of February 25, 2023. She is predeceased by both parents, her husband Roy Bosch, her brothers Jack, Albert, Ken, Ted, Vern, and Brian, and her sisters Ruth and Margaret.
Survived by her daughter Jacqueline Edwards (Steve), her sons Bill Bosch (Joann) and Brian Bosch (Kristin), 6 grandchildren, Blain Bosch (Krystina), Nicole Bosch (Corey), Alicia Weatherby (Devin), Brianna Bosch, Lincoln Bosch, and Kohl Bosch, as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Michael Bosch, and Olivia Weatherby.
Beth was a compassionate and caring woman. She did a little of everything, but her passions laid in gardening and baking. She was a natural green thumb and could make anything bloom and become beautiful. Her baking, as inspiring and delectable as it was, caused her to be well known at the Rutland Fire Department many years ago as she battled a sensitive smoke detector while baking and making popcorn for the local Church Bazaar. Despite that run in with the law, she was determined to prove to them she could indeed bake and that it was the smoke detector that was at fault. She brought those firemen many pies to make up for their lost time.
Cards and bingo were a well-known love of hers. She was a shark at crib and spent many years in the Senior’s Games competing with her late sister-in-law Helen as her partner. Any chance she had she would be playing bingo, whether it was at the independent living home she lived in, at Chances or on a road-trip through the States (where she happily brought her young granddaughter along to join in on the fun).
She was a woman of faith and was heavily involved with the CWL and Diocesan when she was healthy and able to contribute, where she created a lifetime of friendships.
Beth was a world traveller. Travelling to Europe with her daughter and 2 granddaughters, she gained the courage to return twice on her own to visit relatives and explore her parents’ heritage. Beyond Europe she was fortunate enough to visit Japan, Mexico, and numerous States. She loved any road-trip, the distance or destination didn’t matter.
She was involved with the Trefoil Guild from the time her daughter was young, continuing to participate with the granddaughter and long past that.
Beth was able to make fast and lifelong friends in a matter of minutes. She was a beautiful and loving soul, who inspired many to live life with a smile and a warm heart. She was loved deeply every day of her life and will continue to be loved by friends and family, and her memory will be carried on with the values, lessons, and recipes she taught so many. The memories are never-ending, as is her love.
May she rest in peace.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 1 pm at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 750 Rutland Rd N, Kelowna, BC V1X 3B7.

Jacqueline & Alicia,
I am so sorry to hear about Beth's passing. She was such a wonderful loving lady. Beth had such a great outlook on life and was always so positive. When she worked with me at Specialty Bakery she could take a batch of fresh made cakes and have them all sold before the days end! It was such a joy to spend time with her. I will miss her always.
Love and Hugs to you both.
