To Gordie’s family....we are so sorry for your loss.

Both of us were fortunate to work at BCTEL when Gordie was one of the senior management team. He could relate to staff at all levels and it was appreciated. Gordie was certainly a fun guy to be around and we know he will be truly missed.

Our sincere condolences go out to Gordie s family! Glenn worked with Gordie from the early 80’s Until he retired in Kelowna and I met him as he was my customer! I instantly liked him as he told me that he remembered meeting my dad as a young teen and really liked him and from then on he was my friend! Such a gentle and good family man. He always had a joke and a smile and was so much fun! Also we were very good friends with his sister Marlene and went to school and graduated with her and are in touch to this day. Condolences Marlene on the loss of your brother!

RIP Gordie! With love, Glenn & Judy Korol

Such wonderful memories of Gordie & Muggy dating back to the mid 80’s. Playing ball on the Shannon Lakers team with them was a highlight and we joined a bowling team with them as well. Every ball game they supplied the team & kids with a big tub of bubble gum!

Gordie was gentle and honorable in all his ways, and always shared something positive, but he also had a great sense of humour and was always ribbing someone.

What a beautiful memory you left behind.

Sending heartfelt condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences to all of Gordie’s family. My day at the “dental shop” was always made brighter by his quick wit, old telephone stories and his concern for my family after my Dad’s passing (a fellow BCTel Pioneer). I will miss his fall delivery of the “Best Apple you ever tasted” but mostly I will miss the very best one he shined up on his shirt “special” just for me. He made everyone feel ‘special!’ You can rest now Mr. Bauer. - Ali Fredericks

My condolences to Gordie`s family on their loss. Wow Gordie and I go back along way when I used to work at a little Fish and Chip place called Captain Scott`s on Lawrence Ave. Every Friday I would see Gordie and a group or workers and he was a big tease, he loved trying to get one on me and most of the time he did but sometimes I would make him speechless and those made my day. The first day I served Gordie he says to me 2 pieces of Fish and Chips well done . Well done I say. Yep well done , are you cooking them , I said yes I am . He says cook them until when you throw them they will go through the wall. Never did I forget this and many years(30 yrs) later I mentioned this to him and he was amazed I remembered that. Hey when you have it said like that who wouldn`t remember.

I loved his sense of humour and looked forward to his visits in the restaurant and

insurance office when I worked there
