Obituaries

On March 8, 2025, Jean Elizabeth Bakker passed away peacefully in her sleep at home
with family.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Pieter and son Donald; Jean is
survived by her brother Don Wilson, and her children Len (Risa), Daughter-in-law Heidi,
Kathryn, and Brian. She is also survived by her many grandchildren Ashley (Jordon),
Katelyn (Patrick), Emma (Aaron), Dana, Jacoba, PJ, and her great grandson Archer.
She will be sorely missed by close friends Michael and Carroll, and Kay
Jean never wavered in her faith and remained a dedicated member of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until the end. She was a dedicated RN for 5 decades
and always took care of all others before herself. She loved quilting and made a blanket
for each of her children and grandchildren.

A special thanks to all the amazing people from IHS who helped look after her these last
several months.
