Obituaries

Our dear mom passed away at the age of 88 years on July 17th at the Trinity Care Centre in Penticton. She endured many medical issues over the past five years with much strength and determination and fought valiantly to the end. Mom was born in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. After graduating from high school, she moved to Saskatoon and undertook training to become a registered nurse at the Saskatoon City Hospital. Her meticulous nursing skills were recognized and appreciated by many at the Nipawin Hospital, where she worked. In 1951, mom married Richard (Dick) Armstrong. They farmed and raised their family in the Aylsham/Nipawin area surrounded by many other hardworking and loyal neighbours. Sadly, Dad was tragically taken in 1979. Mom loved curling, gardening, playing cards, knitting, and dancing, along with staying involved in her children
