AMBROSI, DAN

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dan Ambrosi on January 11, 2018 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 82. Dan was born in Kelowna, B.C. on November 14, 1935, the youngest of six children of Vasile and Dora Ambrosi. Dan lived and worked for many years in Kamloops, BC. Dan is survived by three of his siblings, Andrew (Mary) Ambrosi of Lake County; Mary (Wilf) Weber of Carstairs, AB and Eli Ambrosi of Armstrong, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his common-law wife, Edith MacDougall, his parents, Vasile and Dora Ambrosi, and his sisters, Antonia (Toni) Panio and Flossie Ambrosi.

I met Dan about 20 years ago. He was a gentle man who loved a great conversation. His grandchildren Lana, Richard & Rob introduced me to him.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Dan. I always looked forward to seeing him when I was younger and we come from Carstairs for summer holidays. Some of my greatest memories where when he would cut and polish rocks to make tables and rooting around the dump to see what items were thrown away by the department stores. He always made laugh. I will miss him very much.
