Pope Benedict XVI spoke to reporters Saturday, telling them in four languages that thanks to their coverage of the papal transition, the "entire world" has been focused on the Roman Catholic Church.

He hailed what he called an "extraordinary media revolution" of modern communications. He also pledged to continue the dialogue established by his predecessor, John Paul II, and praised his openness.Full story
Chinese President Hu Jintao urged Japan Saturday to "seriously reflect" on its aggression during the Second World War and to back up recent public apologies with action.
