Johnny Carson Has Died

Former talk show host and icon Johnny Carson died Sunday, his nephew confirmed. He was 79.

Beginning in 1962, the actor/comedian hosted NBC's Tonight Show for 30 years and was arguably the most popular entertainer in America.

"Mr. Carson passed away peacefully early Sunday morning," his nephew, Jeff Sotzing, told The Associated Press. "He was surrounded by his family, whose loss will be immeasurable. There will be no memorial service."Full story
