A prominent media personality was arrested for disorderly conduct Tuesday evening.
Mike Wallace, 86, a CBS news veteran was handcuffed and brought in to New York’s 19th precinct where he was issued a summons.
Wallace reportedly lunged at a Taxi and Limousine Commission inspector after coming out of a Manhattan restaurant.
He approached the inspectors in an "overtly assertive and disrespectful manner,” said Alan Fromberg, TLC’s deputy commissioner for public affairs.
The restaurant’s owner, Luigi Militello, said the inspector acted unprofessionally and handled Wallace like a common criminal.
