$44 bill, $3,000 tip

A waitress and single mom received the tip of a lifetime over the weekend.

Michelle Bozemen was tipped $3,000 on a $44.42 meal at Ramblin' Jacks Rib Eye restaurant in Napavine, Wash., south of Olympia.

That's about a 6,800 per cent tip.

The customer left a note that said: "Thanks for smiling. You work hard and the country is in a bad place. Please do something good for another human being. Have credit card company call if they question the tip."

Bozemen shared some of her windfall with coworkers. She plans to spoil her family and travel to Ireland.

"I was shocked. I looked at it and I thought no, that can't be right," she said. "I just really want to thank them and say what a wonderful thing that was for them to do for a stranger."
