More headlines, more news

We’re listening.

Since launching our new site look, Castanet’s programmers have been tinkering behind the scenes to bring you more of what you want.

We’ve hosted a series of reader focus groups and are working on several updates from your feedback. Some are already in place.

We’ve increased the number of headlines in our main “stack” and added to our teaser section with more photos and headlines from nearby centres, as well as from across B.C., Canada and the world.

There’s now more news headlines on our front page than ever before.

As well, the headline stacks have bolder text, and we’ve updated the font for optimum legibility on all devices and browsers.

We’ve tweaked the search function to better find what you’re looking for on the site or through Google, consolidated the Opinion and Commentary pages and reworked our classified ads to make them more prominent, with bigger photos and a vastly improved search engine.

Our Events page now features a scrolling calendar for planning further ahead, and we’ve added new cams to our webcam page, along with larger images.

But, that’s not all. We've just launched our new Android app to complement our iPhone app.

And we’ve got more improvements just around the corner.

At Castanet, we’re listening to you – our readers. So, keep coming back to see the latest ways we’re improving your favourite news and community website.
