Spring Break Kids Camps

Regardless of whether you have children who are artistically, musically or dramatically-inclined, nature lovers or sports enthusiasts, there are spring break camps happening throughout Kelowna geared for them!

Here is a sampling of what is available around town this Spring Break.

The City of Kelowna is offering a number of half and full day camps for kids. 
Acrylic, Watercolour & Drawing Art Camp – for ages 5-14 (younger kids half day)
Golf Camp – Ages 6-12 Tu-Fri Three one hour lessons with 6 students to 1 CPGA Instructor and a fun. Practice balls are included and equipment is provided if necessary.
Sportacular Camp -- Sportacular Camp is for boys and girls looking for a fun-filled week of sports and activities with our qualified instructors. Play Soccer, Hockey, Flag Football, plus other active games. Camp fee includes ice skating and sports at CNC and a swim at H2O pool. Bring a water bottle and healthy peanut/nut free snacks daily.
Day Camp through Parkinson Rec -- This popular day camp is for boys and girls the day camp includes a variety of activities including crafts, games, cooking and much more. Swimming each day from 3:30-4:45PM  (camp runs from 7:30-5:15 each day)Licensed Day Camp is through Watson Elementary & Bankhead Elementary. More info here.

Ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 10
Cost: $65.00 ($50.00 for members)

The Kelowna Art Gallery and Bumbershoot Theatre are collaborating to offer two exciting weeks of art and theatre for children over Spring Break. Participants will be inspired by short field trips to different places in the Cultural District each day, and then will create visual and performance art based on their experiences. At the gallery children will take part in fun and inspiring activities, such as painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media and printmaking, and at Bumbershoot they will explore theatre through a variety of games and play. Each day will be different, and on Friday of each week participants will put together a small exhibition of their art. Parents will be invited to arrive early on Friday to view the art created that week.

SPRING BREAK ARTS BLAST camps for kids ages 5-11 and are two-day camps. M-Tu & Thurs-Fri. 2 day camps! Each camp has a different theme and allows your child to explore the power of imagination, while raising self-esteem & confidence as they take classes in Art, Music, Drama and Dance. Guided by talented and inspiring "top flight" instructors, Arts Blast gives your child the opportunity for individual learning and growth. Bring *peanut free* snacks/lunches.
Kelowna Actors Studio Spring Break Theatre Camps
Contact Email: [email protected] 7 to 15 - Modeled on Kelowna Actors Studio long running Summer Camps, our March Break Theatre Camps are a fun and focused learning environment. Five (or ten!) wonderful days are spent working with theatre professionals, making new friends, and building a show from the ground up all the while exploring their imaginations! The energetic rehearsal process culminates in a a short group performance, presented on the last Friday of each camp to an invited audience of family and friends guided by professional artist educators. Rodney Hobson Karate Academy
The first week we will continue to offer our popular Karate Camps in the same format we usually do. The kids will know what to expect and it will always be a GREAT experience for everyone.The second week we will be taking a more focused approach and separating the age groups. For the students who are 10 and under we will be offering a wildly exciting NINJA Camp! For the 11 year and older students we will be offering a sport karate competition camp guaranteed to improve their skills.  Registration is required.

SFU Soccer Camp for Boys and Girls
Do you have a child who loves to play soccer? The City of Kelowna and the Simon Fraser University Men’s Soccer Program are pleased to announce the SFU Spring Break Children's Soccer Camp for boys and girls, aged 5-11 years. The camp will run from March 16th-20th, with a morning camp from 8:30am -11:30 am and an afternoon camp from 1:00pm 4:00pm, at the Capital News Centre indoor soccer fields. For a fee of $150.00, participants will have the opportunity to have fun, build their skills and receive coaching from one of the best university soccer programs in Canada. Children will also receive their very own soccer ball and T-shirt, and get to participate in the World Cup tournament on the final day. For registration please contact the Parkinson Rec. Dance Camp through Ballet Kelowna & Creator’s Arts –Dance Break for Beginners ages 10-18 as well as Dance Break Intensive
Ballet Kelowna is pleased to announce Dance Break, a two-streamed dance workshop and training intensive for young people aged 10 to 18.  At Dance Break, participants will explore different dance styles under the guidance and instruction of Ballet Kelowna’s professional dancers and special guest teachers.
Dance Break For Beginners is designed for youth with no previous dance training.  
Dance Break Intensive is designed for youth who are currently studying dance and wish to further their training over Spring Break. 
ECCO Centre 3-half-day Spring Break Camps Ages 5-7
The 'Nature Detectives Spring Break Camps' go each spring.  The three day morning sessions are for youngsters aged five to seven.   The cost per three day session is $60 per child.  You can get more information by contacting the EECO staff at 250-469-6139 or emailing [email protected].
Energyplex Day Camps during Spring Break
Energetic day camps include a full day of activities, lunch, and snacks.

I love creating songs, which have been used by the Terry Fox Run, Kelowna’s Centennial Celebration, or heard on various local radio stations. 

In the past few years, I've focused on creating community events including Music in the Park, New York New Years, Castanet’s Free Family Skate, Talented Kids, Talented Kelowna, and others.
