Final day to have your say on new city hall/library

Library feedback due date

Today is the last day to submit feedback on the detailed design for the City of West Kelowna’s proposed new city hall and library.

You can share your thoughts by clicking this link.

Once on the page, you can watch the video design animations, take a virtual tour of the open house display boards, and complete a questionnaire. West Kelowna residents can also visit the ideas portal and contribute their ideas for community gathering spaces, landscaping, outdoor lighting and seating. You can also contact the Project team at here or at 778-797-1234.

Work has already begun at the site located at 3731 Old Okanagan Highway to install underground utilities services for the new building. The project is anticipated to be completed in winter 2022, subject to construction timelines and other factors.

The building will centralize the city’s administration, provide a permanent home for the West Kelowna Library, and include constituency offices for the Member of Parliament and Member of Legislative Assembly who represent the city.

It’s hoped the facility will be a welcoming place to gather and a catalyst for area revitalization due to the proximity to Westbank Centre, Memorial Park, Johnson Bentley Aquatic Centre and the Annette Beaudreau Memorial Amphitheatre.
