The off ramp to Hwy 97C was blocked by a three-vehicle collision earlier this afternoon

Hwy 97 fully reopens

UPDATE: 2:34 p.m.

Highway 97 northbound at the junction of 97C has been cleared following a multi-vehicle accident.

The three-vehicle incident took place shortly after noon on Saturday, which caused major congestion and delays in the area near the Okanagan Connector interchange.

The condition of those involved in the crash is still unknown at this time.

UPDATE: 1:30 p.m.

It appears that southbound traffic on Highway 97 near the Okanagan Connector interchange is moving, but northbound traffic remains backed up to the bottom of Drought Hill.

The three-vehicle crash occurred shortly after noon Saturday and has caused major delays in the area.

The condition of those involved is not known at this time.

UPDATE: 1 p.m.

While the crash at the top of Drought Hill near Peachand initially brought northbound Highway 97 traffic to a standstill, those travelling south are now also stopped.

The crash occurred just after noon near the interchange between Highway 97 and Highway 97C. Traffic is now backed up to the bottom of Drought Hill to the south, and all the way into Westbank to the north.

Crews are on scene assessing the situation. At this time, it's unclear how long traffic will be stopped for.

The condition of those involved in the three-vehicle crash is not known at this time.

A multi-vehicle crash has brought northbound traffic to a standstill on Drought Hill, near Peachland.

The northbound off ramp to the Okanagan Connector has been blocked by the three-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon. .Traffic is stopped near the interchange of Highway 97 and Highway 97C.

Emergency crews are en-route. If you’re in the area, be aware of traffic control crews.
