Charity Game On Sunday

A charity hockey game to benefit a Westside teen is on for Sunday at the new Royal LePage Place on the Westside.

The new facility, which was scheduled to open two weeks ago, will open for the first time for the Fireplace Place Face-Off For a Friend to benefit Jonathon Neitsch.

The game begins at 4 p.m. and features the likes of Dany Heatley, Shea Weber, Josh Gorges, Wade Belak, Craig McTavish, Master of Ceremonies Kelly Hrudey and others.

Westside Warriors General Manager Gary Gelinas and former New York Islanders star Bob Bourne will serve as coaches.

The festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a barbeque, live bands and silent auction, all open to the general public.

An autograph session, available to ticket holders only, begins at 1:45.

The game itself is sold out.
