Baseball Bat Attacks

Two men were taken to hospital early Sunday morning after being attacked in a pair of unrelated attacks. Both were attacked by men with baseball bats.

The first attack took place outside the Dobbin Road Shell Station in Westbank at about 12:45 a.m. The victim was taken to Kelowna General with several head injuries.

The second about five minutes later near Old Okanagan Highway and Dobbin Road. The victim in the second attack was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Westbank RCMP say both attacks appear to have been perpetrated by men associated with a black pick-up truck.

Police say both were unprovoked.
