An accused bank robber staying in the Okanagan while he fought extradition, is apparently now on the run.
Former US army ranger Luke Sommer was under house arrest and staying with his mother in Peachland.
RCMP say he took off sometime on Thursday.
Sommer is accused of being the mastermind behind a daring bank robbery in Tacoma last summer, when four men stormed a Bank of America brandishing handguns and AK-47s, getting away with $54,000.
In all, seven people were charged in the heist, five of them soldiers.
