UPDATE 1:49 p.m.
Castanet has learned that a small SUV heading south on Highway 97 appears to have caught fire and then pulled over to the northbound side of the highway near Renfrew Rd.
Reports from the scene indicate the SUV was fully involved with flames and Engine 21 and RCMP arrived on scene to douse the flames and handle traffic. At this time there are no traffic issues and it's not clear if there were any injuries as a result of the incident.

Castanet has received reports of a vehicle fire on Highway 97 south of Peachland near Renfrew Rd.
No word on what type of vehicle or if traffic is being impacted at this point.
